Jimin POV

I picked up the photographs with slightly dusty fingers.

At first, my brain didn't understand what I was looking at.

Then it did.

And my eyes widened in horror. It was me, my pictures, in this house,
On the same balcony upstairs, smiling at the camera like I belonged there.

My eyes dropped to the bottom corner of the photo.

2022

My breath got stuck.

"I never came to this house..." I whispered. "I never... even knew this place existed."

Then how?

My hands started shaking so badly the photo rattled between my fingers.

I slowly looked down, Min was sitting near my feet, staring up at me, but the way he looked at me..

It didn't feel like a pet looking at its owner. It felt like... I was the strange one.

It was suffocating. The air in that room suddenly felt too thick to breathe. Like the walls were closing in.

And I felt it again. That feeling, like someone else was there. Watching me.

I didn't look around. I couldn't. I lost all my guts at this point.

I grabbed the photos and ran out of the room.

I didn't dare look at the rest. Just one photo already made my chest feel like it would explode.

I rushed downstairs, almost slipping on the last step, breathing hard like I'd been chased.

Straight to the kitchen, I grabbed a glass, filled it with water, and drank the whole thing in one go.

My hands were still shaking.

The photos were still in my grip. Two, three of them.

I dragged a chair near the dining table and sat down heavily. My legs felt weak.

Min followed me and sat beside my leg, quiet.

I looked down at the photos again.

"I'm just overthinking," I muttered. "There has to be a simple explanation."

I picked up the next photo and my stomach dropped again. It was me, sitting on the couch downstairs, my hair had small star clips in it, star clips.

I would never wear that.

My face looked sulky, like I didn't want the picture taken and in my hair, There was a hand.

A man's hand.

Long fingers gently holding a strand of my hair like he was fixing it.

My throat felt dry.

"Who... took this?" I whispered.

I flipped to another photo.

Me in the kitchen, wearing an oversized black t-shirt and loose shorts down to my knees.

I was holding an egg in one hand and a bowl in the other.

It looked like a candid picture, like someone stood there watching me cook. Who had habit to capture me.

Like someone lived with me.

"I don't remember this," I said, my voice small. "I don't remember any of this."

Then I saw another photo. Last one and this time, cold shivers ran down my back.

It wasn't me. It was a man.

Black hair, a little long, falling softly like a wolf cut. Pale skin. Sharp jaw. Yellow eyes.

Yellow. Just like Min's.

My breath stopped.

He looked straight into the camera, face calm, unreadable. Someone's hand was holding his chin gently from below, tilting his face up.

I stared at that hand. There was a ring on one finger.

My heart started pounding loudly in my ears. Slowly... I raised my own hand in front of my face.

The same ring. The one I've worn since high school. My fingers went numb.

"Who is he...?" I whispered. "Why do I have pictures with him? Why don't I remember him?"

I threw the photo onto the table and grabbed my head.

"This isn't real. I'm just tired. I'm hallucinating," I said quickly, breathing faster. "Yeah. That's it. I'm just tired."

Min suddenly jumped onto my lap and started licking my cheek.

"Hey..." I let out a shaky laugh. But the panic slowly eased.

My breathing slowed, my hands stopped shaking.

How can an animal calm me down like this? Like he's done it a hundred times before.

Min climbed onto the table and walked toward the photo of that man.

Then he licked it. Right on the man's face.

I froze on the place.

"...Who are you?" I whispered.

Min looked at me.

I swallowed hard. "Should I ask Taehyung?"

My mind raced.

"No... no, I'm not sure yet. What if he's just some friend I forgot?" I said out loud.

"Meow."

I looked at Min. "Do you know who he is?"

He licked the photo again. My stomach twisted.

I didn't know what was worse.

Not remembering Or feeling like someone else remembered everything about me.

By the time night came, my head was still heavy from everything. The photos. The dates. That man's face. I didn't want to think anymore. I just wanted sleep to take me somewhere quiet, somewhere empty.

Min was curled beside me again, warm and soft against my arm. I kept one hand in his fur without even realizing. It felt comforting. Safe.

I closed my eyes. Sleep came slowly this time, like my mind didn't trust the dark anymore.

And then... It started again, that same horrible feeling.

I couldn't move, I couldn't open my eyes. My body felt frozen, like I was trapped inside stone.

Fuck.

Not again.

My heart started racing, but even that felt far away, like my body belonged to someone else.

Someone help me.

Yesterday, I only felt a presence, tonight... it was worse.

I felt those long fingers again, dragging lightly over my arm... up to my shoulder... across my collarbone.

I could feel the path clearly, like someone was tracing me in the dark.

I felt someone close to my face, watching me, breathing near my lips.

I swear I could feel warmth there.

Then- A hand on my bicep.

It slowly moved down my arm, almost like a soft caress.

Another hand slid into my hair, fingers gently pushing through the strands.

That touch wasn't hurting me, neither forcing but it just felt.. it just felt.. Just... familiar.

Who are you?

Why are you here?

Are you even real?

The questions screamed inside my head, but my mouth wouldn't move. My eyes stayed shut like they were glued.

Min

Where is he... And then.. Something in me snapped.

I forced my eyes open. I shot up on the bed, breathing hard.. And froze, strong arms were wrapped around me from behind.

The hug wasn't tight but holding me like a shield.

For one second... It felt familiar, like I knew this hold, like I had been in these arms before.

Then reality crashed into me.

There is someone in my house.

My heart started pounding wildly.

Who is he?

I shoved him hard and scrambled away across the bed.

He didn't fight back.

He just let go and sat there, looking at me and I saw his face.

Yellow eyes. The same ones from the photo, the same man.

My breath got stuck. I looked beside me quickly.

Min wasn't there.

My chest tightened.

"Who are you?" I asked, my voice shaking no matter how hard I tried to sound brave.

He was wearing a loose white shirt and soft pants, like he had been sleeping.

Like he lived here.

"Jimin... it's me... it's me, Jimin... your Yoongi," he said softly.

Jimin.

That nickname hit somewhere deep inside my chest.

Yoongi?

Yoongi?

"Get out of my house! I DON'T KNOW YOU!" I yelled, grabbing the vase from my side table and holding it in front of me like a weapon.

He stood up slowly, putting distance between us.

I could see it in his eyes. There was pain, also fear, like I had just stabbed him without touching him.

"Jimin... don't be scared of me... it's me... I'm your boyfriend," he said, voice breaking.

Boyfriend?

A fucking boyfriend??

"STOP LYING, YOU CREEP! I DON'T KNOW YOU!" I shouted.

"Jimin... I know you forgot me... but..." his eyes filled with tears.

"I didn't forget! I never met you!" I yelled back.

He wiped his tears with shaky fingers.

That hurt expression on his face made my chest ache for no reason, and I hated it.

"Get out," I said again, my grip tightening on the vase.

"Jimin..."

"I SAID GET OUT! HOW DID YOU EVEN ENTER MY HOUSE?!" I demanded.

He didn't answer. He just looked down, like he had no right to speak.

My breathing was uneven.

"Min... where are you?" I called out, my voice small now.

I looked around the room desperately. And in the next second...

That man... Yoongi was gone.

Just...

Gone.

Like he was never there and at the same moment, I saw Min walking into the room calmly, tail swaying like nothing happened.

I stared at him.

"...What the hell is happening to me?"

Now i was scared from that cat.
