AUTHOR'S POV
Jimin's eyes slowly traveled towards his own hands which were pinned above his head. Everything happened so fast that he didn't even realize when he became the one lying on the mattress.
He was fucking embarrassed.
So...
Yoongi wasn't sleeping?
No way... he wasn't sleeping? Then from when was he awake? Did he know everything?
For the first time in a long while, Jimin genuinely wanted the mattress to swallow him.
Yoongi was hovering over him, his knees resting on both side of Jimin's waist, keeping him trapped without actually using any force. He simply kept looking at him as if waiting for an answer.
"What were you trying to do?" Yoongi finally asked, staring straight into Jimin's eyes.
Jimin looked away, pretending to be completely normal as if he hadn't been caught red-handed hugging someone who was supposed to be asleep.
"I'm asking you something." Yoongi waited for another few seconds before speaking again. "You've started ignoring my questions a lot."
Jimin finally looked back at him.
Their eyes met.
Wait... what am I even embarrassed for? Wasn't I the one who decided I'm going to pursue him? I'm going to make him fall in love with me again no matter how much he hates me. Then why am I acting guilty? If I can't even admit I wanted to hug him, then how am I going to make him trust me again?
That single thought changed something inside him.
The embarrassment slowly disappeared.
Instead... A small smirk appeared on his lips.
Yoongi frowned in confusion.
Just a second ago this man looked like he wanted to run away, and now he was smirking?
Did he hit his head somewhere? Yoongi thought.
Yoongi was sleeping but as soon he felt someone's presence and touch he woke up and what he found? It was Jimin.
Yoongi couldn't stop himself from looking at Jimin's blond hair. A few strands had fallen over his forehead while the rest were spread across the pillow. Seven years...

After seven whole years he was seeing Jimin from this close again.
Why the heck does he still look this handsome?
He hated the fact that even now... Even after everything... He still found himself staring.
"You are asking what I was doing?" Jimin finally spoke.
"Yes."
"What if I tell you... I was hugging you?"
Yoongi's jaw clenched.
He lowered himself a little, his face coming even closer until barely a few inches remained between them. His gaze never left Jimin's eyes.
"What is this, Park Jimin?" he asked, his voice much deeper than it used to be. "A new game? You are acting like you were never the one who said everything between us was fake... and now suddenly you are acting like you missed me?"
Jimin forgot to reply for a second.
When did my little nerdy boy grow up this much?
The old Yoongi couldn't even look him in the eyes for longer than a few seconds.
This Yoongi was pinning him against the bed without hesitation, questioning him without lowering his gaze even once.
Somehow... Jimin liked this version too.
"Whatever you want to think... you can," Jimin answered, the smirk slowly disappearing. "But I really missed you."
For a few seconds Yoongi didn't react.nThen a quiet chuckle escaped him.
It wasn't a happy laugh. It sounded more like someone laughing at his own fate.
"Missed me?" he repeated. "Sounds funny coming from you."
His eyes finally looked away from Jimin for the first time.
"Just tell me one thing honestly." His voice remained calm, but every word carried the weight of the last seven years. "Do you have some new intention this time too? At least tell me now. I don't want to become the same fool twice. Getting my heart broken once was already enough."
Jimin's heart tightened hearing that.
He had imagined Yoongi would be angry.
He had imagined Yoongi would shout.
Somehow... This calmness hurt far more.
"Do you really want to know my intention?" Jimin asked.
Yoongi didn't answer.
He simply kept looking at him.
"My only intention..." Jimin slowly said without breaking eye contact, "...is to make everything up to you. That's all I want."
Yoongi let out another small laugh before shaking his head.
"Never happening."
"What if I make it happen?" Jimin asked immediately.
This time...
Yoongi had no answer.
Because the question he never wanted to ask himself suddenly appeared inside his own mind.
What if... he actually makes it happen?
He immediately pushed the thought away.
No... never again.
One Park Jimin was enough to teach me not to believe twice.
Yoongi's eyes slowly fell on Jimin's lips. The plumpy, red lips he kissed years ago.
They were so close.
There was barely a few inches of distance between them. If either one of them leaned even a little more, their lips would meet without either of them making an effort.
His eyes remained there longer.nHe knew he shouldn't be looking. He knew he should move away.
But after spending seven years convincing himself he would never be this close to Park Jimin again, his eyes simply refused to listen.
Jimin noticed it immediately.nHe noticed Yoongi wasn't looking into his eyes anymore.nHis entire attention had shifted to his lips.
Is he... going to kiss me?
That single thought made Jimin's heartbeat lose its rhythm.
Yoongi slowly leaned down.
He was not in hurry, he was taking it slow.
Every inch disappeared so slowly that Jimin found himself unconsciously holding his breath. Their faces were now so close that he could clearly feel Yoongi's breathing against his own skin.
No way... My little nerdy boy is making the first move?
Without even realizing it, Jimin's eyes slowly fluttered shut. He closed them.
For the very first time... He wasn't the one taking the lead. He wasn't the one kissing first. He wasn't the one making Yoongi flustered.
The roles had completely changed.
Just when Jimin thought their lips were finally going to meet... Yoongi suddenly changed the direction.
Instead of moving towards Jimin's lips, he leaned beside his face until his lips stopped just beside Jimin's ear.
The warm breath brushing against his ear made Jimin freeze completely. A strange shiver quietly ran through his entire body. He had never experienced something like this before.
Because Year's ago... He had always been the one teasing Yoongi. He had always been the one taking lead. He had always been the one making Yoongi lose control.
Now... For the first time... He understood exactly how Yoongi used to feel.
"You know what..." Yoongi finally spoke, his voice low enough that every single word brushed against Jimin's ear. "This time... your tricks won't work on me."
He stayed there for another second before continuing.
"You won't make me fall in love with you again... only to tell me one day that everything between us was fake."
The words were spoken calmly but Jimin heard everything hidden behind them.
Seven years of waiting. Seven years of missing someone who never came back. Seven years of pretending he had moved on.
Only after saying those words did Yoongi slowly pull himself back.
Jimin quietly tried pulling his hands free from Yoongi's grip. This time Yoongi didn't stop him.
He immediately let go before placing both of his own hands on the mattress beside Jimin for support.
"So..." Jimin looked at him without breaking eye contact. "You won't fall for me again?"
"Never."
The answer came immediately.
Jimin simply nodded. Instead of arguing, he slowly lifted one hand.
Yoongi's eyes instinctively followed every movement.
Jimin's fingertips gently rested against Yoongi's jaw before slowly tracing along it. His fingers moved from his sharp jawline to his neck, taking their own sweet time before finally reaching Yoongi's chest.
They stopped exactly where the tattoo was.
Heartbeat JM.
Jimin's fingers rested over the tattoo while his eyes remained fixed on those familiar letters.
For a few seconds... Neither of them spoke.
Yoongi wasn't looking at the tattoo anymore.
He was only watching Jimin, trying to understand what was going on inside his mind.
Finally... Jimin lifted his eyes.
Their gazes met once again.
"Says the person..." Jimin spoke with the smallest smile while absentmindedly drawing little circles over the tattoo with his fingertips, "...who couldn't even erase my name from his heart."
The words made something tighten inside Yoongi's chest.
Before Jimin could continue, Yoongi quietly caught his wrist and removed his hand from the tattoo.
"What do you really want from me?" His voice sounded completely serious.
There wasn't any teasing left anymore.
"What do you actually want, Park Jimin?"
Jimin looked at him for a long moment before pretending to think, his eyes wandering towards the ceiling as if the answer was difficult.
"Hmm..." He softly hummed before looking back at Yoongi.
Then he slowly pushed himself upward, supporting his body on both elbows.
Seeing Jimin moving closer again, Yoongi instinctively leaned back a little.
Jimin's eyes once again settled on the tattoo. The same tattoo that had carried his name for seven whole years.
You still couldn't remove it...
Then how am I supposed to believe you removed me from your heart?
Without asking for permission... Neither he said single word or ask permission.
Jimin leaned forward. His lips gently touched the tattoo. Almost as if he was apologizing to the part of Yoongi's heart he had broken years ago.
The moment those familiar lips touched his chest... Yoongi closed his eyes. His fingers unconsciously tightened against the mattress.
He had imagined this countless times.
There were nights when he would absentmindedly touch that tattoo himself, wondering what it would feel like if Jimin ever kissed it.
He used to laugh at himself afterwards because he knew those thoughts were impossible. Yet the impossible had just happened.
Jimin slowly pulled himself back.
"You wanted to know what I really want from you?"
Yoongi opened his eyes again but remained silent. His heartbeat hadn't slowed down yet.
Jimin looked straight into them.
"I want your heart." His voice was much softer now.
He told honestly without teasing.
"So..." He didn't look away even once.
"Give it to me. Let me heal your heart."
Yoongi simply kept looking at him, almost as if he wanted to believe those words but was too scared to do so.
Finally...
He slowly stood up from the mattress.
"Stop this...I don't know why you're doing all this... but stop it."
He turned around before Jimin could see the conflict written across his face. But one thing escaped his control.
His heartbeat.
It became so fast that even Jimin noticed the moment his lips touched the tattoo.
A small victorious smirk slowly appeared on Jimin's face.
Your heartbeat still betrays you... just like before.
"I thought seven years would've changed you," Jimin said loud enough for Yoongi to hear while watching his back. "But you still get shy because of one kiss."
Yoongi didn't react. He quietly picked up his T-shirt from the couch where he threw yesterday.
Jimin's smile only widened. "My nerdy boy..."
This time Yoongi's shoulders visibly stiffened.
.
He heard it. Yet he still didn't turn around.
Holding the clothes in one hand, he silently walked into the bathroom before closing the door behind him.
The moment the lock clicked... Jimin let out the smile he had been trying so hard to hide.
You can deny me all you want, my nerdy boy... but your heart still reacts to me before your mind does.
Jimin finally felt like he won the tiniest battle.
After some time, Jimin finally came downstairs after getting ready for the hospital. He was wearing a light pink shirt with black trousers, and white tshirt underneath.

The moment he entered the living room, his steps slowed on their own.
A small smile found its way onto his face.
Yoongi and Jungkook were sitting together on the couch, talking about something with complete focus. Every now and then Jungkook would laugh loudly while Yoongi would shake his head before saying something that made Jungkook laugh even harder.

For a moment...
It felt like those seven years had never happened.
The only difference was that seven years ago their conversations used to revolve around video games, university gossip, silly arguments and random nonsense. Now they were discussing office work, business meetings, investments and everything adulthood had forced upon them.
Time had changed their conversations... But not the comfort between them.
The main thing Jimin was happy because atleast they sort out everything between them.
Jimin stood there for a few seconds, quietly watching them before turning toward the kitchen. He first checked whether breakfast was ready. The cook had already prepared everything and was arranging the dishes on the dining table.
"Breakfast is almost ready, sir," the cook informed.
Jimin gave a small nod before walking back toward the living room.
His eyes instinctively landed on Yoongi.
Yoongi was wearing a sky-blue shirt beneath a perfectly fitted double-breasted blazer. The color suited him so well that Jimin found himself staring for a second longer than necessary.
How does he manage to look good in literally everything...?
He quickly pushed the thought away before anyone noticed.
Jimin had always found Yoongi's dressing ridiculously attractive.
It wasn't flashy or loud.. It was simple, elegant... and somehow made Yoongi look even more confident than he already was.
His gaze shifted toward Jungkook.
Unlike Yoongi, Jungkook was already dressed in a formal suit since he had to leave for the office after breakfast. He was busy explaining something with both hands while Yoongi listened patiently, occasionally correcting him whenever he exaggerated a story.
Before Jimin could join their conversation...
The doorbell rang.
"I'll get it," Jimin said casually before walking toward the entrance.
The moment he opened the door... Someone suddenly pulled him into an unbelievably tight hug.
Jimin almost stumbled backward.
"Namjoon hyung?" he said in confusion, trying to free one arm. "What happened?"
Namjoon looked happier than Jimin had seen him in a very long time. There was excitement written all over his face, and he looked like someone who had been holding onto good news for hours just waiting to tell someone.
"I have to tell you something," Namjoon said, practically grinning from ear to ear. "You have no idea what happened."
Jimin couldn't help laughing at his excitement.
"What is it? At least let me breathe first."
Namjoon finally loosened the hug, still unable to hide the smile stretching across his face.
"I'll tell everyone together."
As he stepped inside, his eyes naturally wandered toward the living room.
The smile on his face paused for the briefest second.
Because..
Yoongi was sitting exactly where he had been... Looking straight at him.
His glare that made it very clear...
