A few meters away... Jimin had stopped walking. He had come looking for Yoongi after speaking with one of his professors.
Instead...
He had witnessed the entire scene from beginning to end. From the girl kneeling.
To Yoongi helping her stand. To the hug.
His eyes quietly remained on the two of them. He hadn't heard a single word they had exchanged.
He had only seen...
The flowers, the tears and the hug.
Jungkook, Kevin and Aura were standing just beside Jimin. Unlike him, none of them looked surprised. To be honest, this wasn't the first time they had witnessed a girl confessing to Yoongi. Ever since he became popular around the university, it had almost become a normal scene. They already knew how it would end.
But for Jimin... It wasn't normal.
He hated the burning sensation spreading through his chest. It was uncomfortable, irrational, and no matter how much he tried to ignore it, it refused to disappear. His jaw tightened as he stood there silently, his eyes never leaving Yoongi.
A few moments later, the girl walked away after getting rejected. Yoongi's teammates also congratulated him before leaving one by one until he was standing alone in the middle of the court.
Only then did Yoongi's eyes finally find Jimin.
The smile on his face immediately faded.
Did he see everything?
What if he misunderstood?
That thought alone was enough to make him hurry towards them.
Before Yoongi could even explain anything, Jungkook threw his arms around him.
"Congratulations, hyung!" Jungkook beamed. "Oh my God... the way you were playing today! You seriously looked like a hero."
Yoongi smiled at him, but his eyes unconsciously searched for Jimin again.
"Bro, I knew it. I knew you were going to win," Kevin laughed, patting Yoongi's back proudly.
"You made the whole medical department proud today, Yoongi," Aura added happily. "We're all seriously so proud of you."
"Thank you," Yoongi replied softly.
But his attention never left Jimin.
Ever since the final whistle, he had been waiting for only one thing.
Jimin's congratulations. He didn't expect a long speech.
Even a simple 'You played well' would've been enough.
Instead... Jimin remained silent.
The words he had spoken a few days ago suddenly echoed inside his head.
Please don't ignore me.
His fingers unconsciously tightened around his own jersey out of nervousness
"Guys, I'm starving," Kevin complained dramatically. "Let's go eat something."
Everyone agreed and started walking towards the cafeteria.
Kevin, Aura and Jungkook naturally walked ahead while Jimin followed a few steps behind them.
Seeing the opportunity, Yoongi quickly matched Jimin's pace.
"Jimin..." he called carefully.
Jimin didn't respond.
"It's not... what you saw."
He waited for Jimin to say something. Or Anything.
"I wanted to explain."
Jimin finally stopped and turned towards him. "Did I ask you anything?"
His voice was calm but more cold. The same cold voice Yoongi hadn't heard since the day they first met.
For a second, it felt as if they had gone all the way back to the beginning.
"No..." Yoongi admitted quietly. "But I want to explain."
"You don't have to." Jimin looked ahead again and continued walking. "I know you rejected her."
Yoongi frowned in confusion.
If Jimin already knew that... Then why did he look so upset?
"Then..."
Before he could finish asking, they had already reached the cafeteria.
"Guys, let's sit there," Aura said, pointing towards a table near the wall. It was tucked away in the corner, giving them a little privacy from the rest of the crowd.
Jimin walked over first and sat beside the wall.
Kevin was just about to take the seat beside him when Aura suddenly caught his wrist.
"What?" Kevin frowned.
"Sit here." She pointed to the chair beside her.
Kevin looked around in confusion. "All the seats are the same."
"They are," Aura replied with an innocent smile. "Now sit."
Kevin sighed before changing his seat without arguing further.
Yoongi looked at the empty chair beside Jimin, then at Aura.
She simply blinked at him with a tiny reassuring smile.
He wasn't sure whether she knew anything or had simply guessed.
Either way...
He silently thanked her before taking the seat beside Jimin.
Jungkook sat opposite them while Kevin and Aura started another pointless argument that somehow made Jungkook laugh.
Normally Yoongi would've joined in.
Today... He couldn't. With everyone around them, he couldn't find a chance to talk to Jimin.
Under the table, his fingers kept fidgeting with each other.
He couldn't stop thinking about the same thing.
He's going to ignore me again.
The thought refused to leave his mind.
Nearly an hour passed between ordering food, eating, and listening to Jungkook's endless chatter.
By the time they stepped out of the cafeteria, evening had already settled over the university.
Another basketball match was about to begin on the court.
Jungkook immediately looked at everyone with excitement.
"Can we watch this one too?"
No one had the heart to refuse him.
As they walked back towards the court, Yoongi stole glance after glance at Jimin, trying to find the right moment to speak.
Every time he gathered the courage...
The opportunity slipped away.
After saying goodbye, Aura and Kevin left for their own homes.
The three of them walked towards the parking area in silence.
Jimin unlocked the car and got into the driver's seat without saying anything. Yoongi quietly took the passenger seat while Jungkook settled in the back as usual.
The engine started.
For a few minutes, only the sound of the air conditioner and the traffic outside filled the car.
Jungkook, completely unaware of the tension between the two in front, suddenly leaned forward between the seats.
"Hyung, that captain... Hyunwoo," he started excitedly. "He's the best basketball player in the university, you know. I seriously can't believe he lost to you."
Yoongi smiled faintly.
"To be honest, I thought he was just a cocky guy," he admitted. "But he was actually good. After the match, he even came to me and said I played well today."
Jungkook nodded enthusiastically before starting another story about the match.
Yoongi answered whenever he had to.
But... His eyes kept drifting towards Jimin.
Jimin's hands remained firmly on the steering wheel, his attention completely fixed on the road ahead. He neither joined the conversation nor reacted to anything Jungkook said. It almost felt as though he couldn't even hear them.
That silence... It scared Yoongi. More than Jimin's anger ever could.
He wasn't afraid of arguments. Neither he was afraid of getting scolded.
He was afraid of this. Being ignored.
Ever since that night when he had broken down in Jimin's arms, that fear had rooted itself somewhere deep inside him. Now every second of Jimin's silence made those same words echo inside his head again.
Please... don't ignore me.
He quietly lowered his eyes to his own hands resting on his lap.
Did I do something wrong...?
If he had... He wished Jimin would just tell him. He would explain. He would apologize if needed.
Anything...
As long as Jimin didn't shut him out again.
As soon as they entered the house, Jungkook stretched his arms above his head before letting out a loud yawn.
"I'm dead..."
Without waiting for either of them, he lazily disappeared into his room, closing the door behind him.
The house suddenly became quiet.
Jimin walked straight towards their bedroom without looking back even once.
Yoongi followed a few steps behind. His mind was still occupied with the same thoughts.
Ever since the basketball court, Jimin hadn't been himself. He wasn't angry... at least not openly. But he wasn't talking either.
That silence was slowly eating Yoongi alive.
When he finally reached their bedroom, he noticed the door was already closed.
He quietly turned the handle and stepped inside.
The moment the door clicked shut behind him..
His back suddenly hit the wall beside it. Yoongi's eyes widened in surprise.
Jimin had pinned him against the wall, one hand resting just beside his head while the other remained tucked inside his pocket.
For a few seconds... Neither of them spoke. Jimin simply stared at him.
It was not simple stare, it was intense.
His eyes slowly wandered over Yoongi's face as though they were trying to read every little expression hidden there.
Yoongi forgot how to breathe.
They were standing so close that he could feel Jimin's warm breath brushing against his face.
"Jimin..." he called softly.
No answer.
"Are you angry?"
Jimin looked into his eyes for another moment before slowly shaking his head.
"I'm not." His voice was calm. So calm that it only confused Yoongi even more.
"Then...?" Yoongi asked quietly.
Instead of answering, Jimin leaned a little closer.
The distance between them disappeared inch by inch until only a tiny gap remained.
Yoongi instinctively held his breath.
Jimin's gaze slowly dropped from his eyes to his lips.
Then... Back to his eyes again.
"I was just..." Jimin murmured before stopping midway.
He leaned in again, his face so close that Yoongi could almost feel their lips brushing against each other.
Just when Yoongi thought he was about to kiss him...
Jimin pulled back ever so slightly. Only enough to look into his eyes again.
"You were jus-" Yoongi couldn't even finish his sentence.
Jimin closed the remaining distance. A pair of soft lips gently pressed against his.
Yoongi's eyes widened for a brief second before they slowly fluttered shut on their own.

Even after everything they had shared... Every kiss still felt unbelievable. Like a dream he was secretly afraid of waking up from.
Yoongi was so shocked.
It was the same feeling as before. He had wanted to kiss Jimin for so long, and receiving a kiss from Jimin still felt like a dream.
Last time, their lips had only brushed against each other. It had been a soft and innocent kiss, but this time Jimin started moving his lips more roughly.
Yoongi could actually feel his lips.
Jimin slowly moved his lips against Yoongi's, turning the innocent brush of last time into a real kiss.
Yoongi kissed him back immediately.
Jimin preferred Yoongi's upper lip, so he gently captured it before giving it a small suck. Then he moved to Yoongi's lower lip, kissing and sucking it just as softly.
Jimin was leading the kiss at first, but Yoongi quickly matched his pace. He kissed Jimin back with the same eagerness, gently sucking on Jimin's soft lower lip. Those plump lips felt like heaven to him.
Butterflies danced wildly in both of their stomachs.
For the first time, they were truly tasting each other.
Yoongi's hand slowly reached Jimin's head. His fingers slipped into Jimin's soft hair as he gently pulled him even closer.
Both of them could feel warmth spreading through their bodies, their minds slowly filling with emotions they could no longer hide.
Jimin wanted to pour all of his jealousy into this kiss.
And he did.
His hand slid over Yoongi's back before settling around his waist, pulling him impossibly closer while never breaking the kiss.
The kiss became messy.
By the time they finally paused, both of their lips had turned slightly swollen, reddish, and a little pale around the edges from kissing each other so much.
Feeling breathless, they finally pulled away, their foreheads almost touching as they looked into each other's eyes while trying to catch their breath.
The only sound in bedroom was their breathing.
But only for a second. Jimin leaned in again.
This time, Yoongi had just parted his lips to breathe, and Jimin took the chance to steal another kiss. He kissed Yoongi's slightly open mouth without using his tongue. He didn't want to...
At least not right now.
Yoongi tilted his head a little, deepening the kiss once again.
Everything felt so new. The man he loved was kissing him like this.
With just one kiss, Jimin made every insecurity Yoongi had disappear as if they had never existed.
Yoongi knew he would never forget the taste of Jimin's lips.
They were sweet... Just like the strawberry shake Jimin had been drinking a while ago in the cafeteria.
His plump lips were so addictive that Yoongi felt like he could spend his whole life kissing them.
No matter how many times they kissed...
It still wasn't enough.
Jimin leaned more of his weight onto Yoongi until Yoongi's entire back rested against the wall while Jimin stood pressed against him.
Their bodies were glued to each other basically feeling every part of each other. But they were too busy while eating each other.
Jimin gently sucked on Yoongi's lower lip again, making a small sound escape from Yoongi without him even realizing it.
Only then did they finally pull away after a kiss... No.. after an entire make-out session.
They looked at each other silently. Their lips were swollen. A thin strand of saliva still clung between their lips for a brief moment before disappearing.
Both of them looked completely ruined.
Jimin slowly raised his thumb and gently wiped Yoongi's lips, noticing how red they had become.
"Aren't you angry... because of that proposal?" Yoongi asked softly.
"I'm not..." Jimin replied. "There's a difference between them and me. Thousands can ask for your heart, my nerdy boy... but only I can leave marks on your lips."
He finished speaking as his thumb gave Yoongi's lower lip one last gentle wipe.
"Only you are allowed to manhandle me," Yoongi whispered so quietly that Jimin barely heard him.
Jimin finally stepped back, giving Yoongi a little space.
"I... I'll go change," Yoongi said awkwardly.
Of course... Everything felt unbelievably awkward after that kiss.
A few minutes later, Yoongi finally walked out of the washroom after changing into his normal clothes.
Jimin had already changed.
He was sitting on the edge of the bed, quietly waiting for him with both hands hidden behind his back.
The moment Yoongi looked at him... His mind shamelessly replayed the kiss from a while ago.
His lips...The way Jimin had looked at him before kissing him...
He quickly looked somewhere else.
"I-I'll study for a bit," Yoongi said, awkwardly scratching the back of his neck.
It wasn't a lie. He really had to study. But that wasn't the only reason. Right now, he was too embarrassed to stay around Jimin after what had happened.
"Come here." Jimin's voice was as calm as always.
Yoongi obediently nodded and slowly walked towards him.
As soon as he stopped in front of him, Jimin stood up from the bed. His hands were still hidden behind his back.
"What is it?" Yoongi asked curiously.
Instead of answering, Jimin slowly brought his hands forward.
There was a neatly wrapped gift box resting in his palms.
Yoongi asked. "For me?"
Jimin nodded once. "Open it."
A smile instantly spread across Yoongi's face. He quickly took the box from Jimin's hands and carefully unwrapped the gift.
The moment he opened it...
His eyes widened. "A phone?"
He looked at the brand-new phone inside the box before looking back at Jimin with complete disbelief.
"This... This is the one I wanted." His eyes grew even wider. "How... how did you know?"
A small smile appeared on Jimin's face. "It's a secret."
Yoongi looked back at the phone again, still unable to believe it. His fingers gently traced over the unopened box.
Jimin had actually remembered.
That day in the forest, Yoongi
Wanted to take pictures with Jimin even though his phone screen was badly cracked. He had tried acting as if it didn't bother him, but Jimin had quietly noticed everything.
Not just that day.
For months, Jimin had seen him using the same old phone with the broken screen.
He never said anything. Instead... He remembered.
"But..." Yoongi looked up at him again. "Why are you suddenly giving me a gift?"
Jimin slipped both hands into his pockets. "You won match." He answered as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Don't you think you deserve it?"
Yoongi smiled before another thought suddenly crossed his mind. "But..."
"You told me yesterday that you didn't think I was going to win."
Jimin couldn't help smiling. "So... you were lying?"
Yoongi asked with a grin. "You already believed I was going to win."
Otherwise... How could he have bought the gift beforehand?
Jimin didn't deny it. He simply looked at Yoongi.
"Did you like it?"That was all he asked.
Yoongi didn't answer.
Instead, he suddenly threw his arms around Jimin's neck, hugging him so tightly that Jimin lost his balance for a second and almost stumbled backwards.
"I love it!" Yoongi's excited voice echoed through the room.
After a few seconds, he finally pulled away from the hug, his smile refusing to disappear.
"I'll show this to Jungkook!" He happily picked up the box and was about to run out of the room.
"Wait." Jimin stopped him.
Yoongi turned around.
Jimin walked towards the drawer beside the bed and opened it.
A moment later, he pulled out another gift box. It was exactly the same.
He handed it to Yoongi.
"Give this to Jungkook."
Yoongi looked at the second box before looking back at Jimin.
"If I only give you one," Jimin said with a small smile, "he'll sulk for the next three days."
Yoongi couldn't stop himself from laughing. "You're right."
He took the second box from Jimin before hugging both boxes against his chest.
Then, unable to contain his excitement any longer, he hurriedly ran out of the bedroom.
"Jungkook!" he shouted loudly. "Come here quickly!"
Jimin stood there watching him disappear from the room.
A small smile slowly found its way onto his face.
Somehow... Seeing Yoongi this happy made the gift feel worth every single penny.
After some time, Yoongi finally came back after proudly showing his phone to Jungkook. Even jungkook was so happy after getting new phone.
The happiness on his face refused to disappear.
Jimin quietly watched him enter the room.
A small smile unknowingly appeared on his own lips.
I wish... I could keep this smile on your face for the rest of your life.
He didn't say it aloud.
He simply kept looking at Yoongi for another second before lowering his gaze back to his phone.
Jimin was lying comfortably on the bed, absentmindedly scrolling through the university website. As expected, the front page was already filled with pictures and videos from today's basketball match. There were clips of Yoongi scoring points, students cheering for him and countless comments congratulating the medical department.
Jimin found himself smiling again.
His husband really had become the talk of the whole university.
Just then... He suddenly felt a weight settle on top of him.
Without even looking, Jimin already knew who it was.
Yoongi had laid down beside him, resting his head on Jimin's stomach while wrapping one arm loosely around his waist. His chin lightly rested against Jimin, making himself comfortable as if that place had always belonged to him.
Jimin locked his phone without another thought.
His fingers automatically disappeared into Yoongi's soft hair, gently running through the strands.
Neither of them spoke for a while.
Yoongi slowly closed his eyes. Just a few months ago...
If someone had told him that one day he'd return home after winning a basketball championship, celebrate with people waiting for him, and then end his day lying like this with someone absentmindedly playing with his hair...
He would've laughed. Because that life never seemed possible.
Back then... Home was just a hostel.
Now... Home had become a person.
His eyes slowly became wet at the thought.
"Jimin..." he called quietly.
"Hmm?"
Yoongi looked up at him.
"I could spend my whole life thanking you... and it still wouldn't be enough." His voice was soft, carrying every emotion he couldn't put into words. "It's not because you bought me a phone... or because you always think about me. Those things matter... they really do. But that's not why I'm grateful."
He paused for a moment before smiling to himself.
"I just... don't know how to explain what you are to me." His eyes never left Jimin's. "You're much more than anything I could ever describe."
Jimin didn't reply. He simply looked down at Yoongi.
Then his fingers gently brushed the hair away from Yoongi's forehead before continuing to stroke his hair.
A smile quietly settled on his face.
"By the way..." Jimin suddenly spoke, "...that jersey you wore today."
Yoongi was hearing.
"It suited you. It looked really good on you."
Yoongi's lips slowly curved into a smile.
He lifted his head a little, moving closer until their faces were only a short distance apart. He remembered kiss...
"This..." he asked while looking straight into Jimin's eyes, "...was my reward?"
A playful smile slowly appeared on his lips. "Or..." He leaned a little closer.
"...is there something more waiting for me?"
